Nailsea's Randy Limjap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mose Sangco in the 8th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percy Pansoy in the 11th minute of play forced Crookes's goalkeeper Manuel Lumbang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Lumbang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Percy Pansoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Mose Sangco sped through Nailsea's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Randy Limjap. With his leg Manuel Lumbang managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Nailsea's Emmett Arong fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mose Sangco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Randy Limjap tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percy Pansoy in the 30th minute of play forced Crookes's goalkeeper Manuel Lumbang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Eliezer Taasan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Crookes's Mose Sangco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Randy Limjap narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Percy Pansoy during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Jeronimo Borromeo came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Crookes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeronimo Borromeo couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Mose Sangco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Randy Limjap was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Nailsea's zone, Jeronimo Borromeo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Randy Limjap came out of the goal and Jeronimo Borromeo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Nailsea's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arthur Telebanco in the 53rd minute. A collision led to Crookes getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Eduard Canumay hit a great ball. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Crookes's goalkeeper Manuel Lumbang, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mose Sangco struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Randy Limjap didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crookes. In the 71st minute, Mose Sangco fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Mose Sangco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randy Limjap having to interfere. When Henriqua Macadangdang fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nailsea's protests and gave Henriqua Macadangdang a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Crookes booed when Nailsea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henriqua Macadangdang didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Jeronimo Borromeo put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Randy Limjap. After a rather tough play, Crookes's Hiram Golez got a free kick in the 88th minute. Percy Pansoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Manuel Lumbang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
