Spectators: 6856 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1856, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Kaberks Malabuyo made the kick off which started today's match. Ashford's Mar Blas got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kirk Quimson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ashford's zone, Kirk Quimson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heriberto Caparas came out of the goal and Kirk Quimson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Heriberto Caparas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kirk Quimson in the 11th minute of the match. The supporters of Derby booed when Ashford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthew Jalbuna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Monroe Melliza kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute of the match Leonides Dayanan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Heriberto Caparas skillfully saved the ball. Kaberks Malabuyo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Heriberto Caparas having to make a save. In the 18th minute of the match Leonides Dayanan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Heriberto Caparas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kirk Quimson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heriberto Caparas having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaberks Malabuyo in the 25th minute of play forced Ashford's goalkeeper Heriberto Caparas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 played minutes Derby got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Ninobla. Heriberto Caparas came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Derby's Kaberks Malabuyo. But to his dismay, Kaberks Malabuyo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Derby's zone, Mar Blas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Noli Cacalda came out of the goal and Mar Blas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ashford's Mar Blas got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mar Blas was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Meliton Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Derby's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ashford the free kick. After a rather tough play, Derby's Meliton Cruz got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The supporters of Derby booed when Ashford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romcim Biazon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kirk Quimson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Heriberto Caparas made a huge save. Heriberto Caparas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaberks Malabuyo in the 59th minute of the match. Mar Blas scored 1-1 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Noli Cacalda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Mar Blas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Noli Cacalda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peanut Cangco in the 73rd minute of play. Kaberks Malabuyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Heriberto Caparas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Noli Cacalda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Peanut Cangco went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 90thth minute of the game Peanut Cangco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Derby's Noli Cacalda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peanut Cangco in the 92nd minute of play forced Derby's goalkeeper Noli Cacalda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kaberks Malabuyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Heriberto Caparas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Many of Derby's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Derby may have spent more time on the ball, but Ashford were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
