Mar Blas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isko Palugod having to interfere. Ashford's Heriberto Caparas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Gumatay in the 23rd minute of play. After 24 played minutes Ashford got a freekick which was hit by Bugoy Mercado. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mar Blas in the 29th minute of play forced Bournemouth City's goalkeeper Isko Palugod to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bournemouth City! Bournemouth City's Isko Palugod played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mar Blas in the 40th minute of play. Mar Blas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Peanut Cangco came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Ashford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peanut Cangco couldn't finish the play. After 48 played minutes Bournemouth City got a freekick which was hit by Herbert Gumatay. 48 minutes into the match, Ashford's Pogi Villarino broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isko Suntay to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Peanut Cangco made a precise shot to the right of Isko Palugod. Mar Blas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isko Palugod having to make a save. When Romcim Biazon fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ashford's protests and gave Romcim Biazon a yellow card for diving instead. Romcim Biazon hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Romcim Biazon got his second yellow card in the match during the 75th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Isko Suntay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute, Pete Cabuquit got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isko Palugod made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peanut Cangco in the 88th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peanut Cangco in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isko Palugod prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Peanut Cangco might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isko Palugod. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peanut Cangco ran back to his position shaking his head. Bournemouth City's Isko Palugod played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peanut Cangco in the 97th minute of play. Ashford walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
