Spectators: 6845 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1845, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mar Blas kicked off to start the match. Bern Bayquin took the ball and in the 2 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Heriberto Caparas. Heriberto Caparas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Peanut Cangco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Gregoria Jocson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ashford's Mar Blas got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, Ashford's Peanut Cangco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gregoria Jocson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Bern Bayquin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Monroe Melliza's late challenge caught a Sarimanok FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Monroe Melliza helped the player get up and apologised. Monroe Melliza kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Ora Gustilo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Heriberto Caparas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Gregoria Jocson was a little too slow when Mar Blas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 1-1. Gregoria Jocson was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Reuben Cordova. After 41 minutes, Vaughn Burgess mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sarimanok FC and the Ashford players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vaughn Burgess kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Ashford's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pogi Villarino in the 44th minute. Heherson Cordova was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Gregoria Jocson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peanut Cangco in the 48th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ora Gustilo to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Ora Gustilo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sarimanok FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ora Gustilo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Heriberto Caparas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Peanut Cangco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bern Bayquin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heriberto Caparas having to interfere. Raminos Francisco hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. When Peanut Cangco came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Ashford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peanut Cangco couldn't finish the play. Peanut Cangco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ashford fully deserved thier win.
