Eddie Lumbang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marshall Ruffy in the 10th minute of the match. Xerex Cusi kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Dogong Cusi made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Emelio Pasinabo sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Allado in the 18th minute of play forced United City's goalkeeper Eddie Lumbang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Grimsby Town FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Mike Albano hit a great ball. Eddie Lumbang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Allado in the 31st minute of the match. Mike Albano kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Adam Allado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eddie Lumbang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marshall Ruffy, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Sasan Maduli hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. United City's Xerex Cusi got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Grimsby Town FC's Mike Albano got a free kick in the 46th minute. Xerex Cusi struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Dogong Cusi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for United City. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adam Allado in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eddie Lumbang prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 60 minutes into the match, Grimsby Town FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xerex Cusi came free, but Dogong Cusi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xerex Cusi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dogong Cusi having to make a save. A collision led to United City getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Gualterio Yalung hit a great ball. Gualterio Yalung tried in the 72nd minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Eddie Lumbang a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 0-1. Marshall Ruffy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eddie Lumbang read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, United City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernandez Younghusband to maneuver through the defense. The United City fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Grimsby Town FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
