Spectators: 6830 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1830, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ross Pagdanganan started the match with the kick off. Godofredo Bunsoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lemuel Aswit kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Yao Blas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 7th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Erap Cordova, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 14 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Virgil Rubio was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Erap Cordova recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Brentford AFC's zone, Lemuel Aswit stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Homobono Diamante came out of the goal and Lemuel Aswit tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Homobono Diamante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Bunsoy in the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Bayani Cabuquit left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Philippine AZkals fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Godofredo Bunsoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Homobono Diamante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Homobono Diamante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bayani Cabuquit in the 31st minute of the match. Bayani Cabuquit's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Homobono Diamante read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Virgil Rubio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ross Pagdanganan in the 34th minute of the match. Godofredo Bunsoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Homobono Diamante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Homobono Diamante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bayani Cabuquit in the 40th minute of play. Bayani Cabuquit blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Homobono Diamante having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bayani Cabuquit in the 46th minute of play forced Brentford AFC's goalkeeper Homobono Diamante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Bayani Cabuquit made the kick off in the second half. Godofredo Bunsoy struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Homobono Diamante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Philippine AZkals. Virgil Rubio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasio Ocampo in the 55th minute of play. After 56 minutes of play, Philippine AZkals's Bayani Cabuquit made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Homobono Diamante was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bayani Cabuquit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anastasio Ocampo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgil Rubio having to interfere. Peyman Tabug kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th minute Ross Pagdanganan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgil Rubio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Brentford AFC's goalkeeper Homobono Diamante had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godofredo Bunsoy. Godofredo Bunsoy might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Homobono Diamante. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Godofredo Bunsoy ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Godofredo Bunsoy got free with Homobono Diamante in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Godofredo Bunsoy might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Homobono Diamante. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Godofredo Bunsoy ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpected shot in the 91st minute by Bayani Cabuquit got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Erap Cordova fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgil Rubio having to interfere. Philippine AZkals's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
