Bayani Cabuquit started the match with the kick off. Godofredo Bunsoy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bayani Cabuquit succeeded in the game's 9th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. With an all-out effort, Harvington AFC's Virgil Rubio threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Honoratas Palisoc, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Hernando Licuanan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Virgil Rubio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Popcorn Bunsoy in the 21st minute of play. If Godofredo Bunsoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Philippine AZkals booed when Harvington AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honoratas Palisoc didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Hernando Licuanan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgil Rubio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Popcorn Bunsoy in the 32nd minute of the match. Popcorn Bunsoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Virgil Rubio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hernando Licuanan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 38 minutes, Popcorn Bunsoy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Harvington AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Popcorn Bunsoy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 40 minutes into the game, Hernando Licuanan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Virgil Rubio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Philippine AZkals's Lemuel Aswit got a free kick in the 46th minute.

A collision led to Philippine AZkals getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Curtis Yase hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernando Licuanan in the 57th minute of play forced Philippine AZkals's goalkeeper Virgil Rubio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honoratas Palisoc charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Honoratas Palisoc the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Honoratas Palisoc hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Sonny Salenda stood somewhat misplaced when Bayani Cabuquit came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 63 minute. Philippine AZkals's Virgil Rubio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Popcorn Bunsoy in the 67th minute of play. Lemuel Aswit's late challenge caught a Harvington AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lemuel Aswit helped the player get up and apologised. After 68 played minutes Philippine AZkals got a freekick which was hit by Lemuel Aswit. Virgil Rubio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Popcorn Bunsoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After having played for 70 minutes, Hernando Licuanan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Harvington AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernando Licuanan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Virgil Rubio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Popcorn Bunsoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 81 minutes, Hernando Licuanan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Philippine AZkals's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Harvington AFC the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Popcorn Bunsoy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Harvington AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Popcorn Bunsoy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgil Rubio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Harvington AFC's Sonny Salenda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bayani Cabuquit in the 93rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Godofredo Bunsoy in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sonny Salenda saved Harvington AFC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Philippine AZkals's Aurelius Baradi got a free kick in the 98th minute. After having played for 99 minutes, Hernando Licuanan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Harvington AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernando Licuanan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Although Harvington AFC had been in control for most of the match, Philippine AZkals still came away with the win.
