Spectators: 7960 (Terracing: 6006, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 113) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Elmer Delasin got the match started through his kick off. Asi Buban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Szeke Hosseinzadeh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 5 minutes into the match, Thanet's goal looked a bit too open when Hugh Batungbacal came free, but Szeke Hosseinzadeh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SupaStrikas's zone, Elmer Delasin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeff Jocson came out of the goal and Elmer Delasin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Asi Buban got free with Szeke Hosseinzadeh in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elmer Delasin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeff Jocson having to interfere. Oliverio Tanjangco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeff Jocson having to interfere. SupaStrikas's Asi Buban got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manuelo Yamson hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. When Arnel Sioson came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the SupaStrikas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnel Sioson couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute, SupaStrikas's Hugh Batungbacal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Jeff Jocson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elmer Delasin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugh Batungbacal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Szeke Hosseinzadeh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Asi Buban, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Elmer Delasin might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeff Jocson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elmer Delasin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 58th minute Asi Buban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Szeke Hosseinzadeh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugh Batungbacal struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Szeke Hosseinzadeh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SupaStrikas. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hugh Batungbacal in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Szeke Hosseinzadeh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Szeke Hosseinzadeh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Asi Buban in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Oliverio Tanjangco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thanet fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 68 minutes into the game, Arnel Sioson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SupaStrikas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Thanet the free kick. After a rather tough play, SupaStrikas's Arnel Sioson got a free kick in the 69th minute. The audience was convinced that Elmer Delasin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeff Jocson was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. 75 minutes into the match, Hugh Batungbacal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Szeke Hosseinzadeh. Thanet's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hugh Batungbacal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugh Batungbacal in the 82nd minute of play forced Thanet's goalkeeper Szeke Hosseinzadeh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Szeke Hosseinzadeh came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by SupaStrikas's Asi Buban. But to his dismay, Asi Buban quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. 92 minutes into the match, SupaStrikas's Hugh Batungbacal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Szeke Hosseinzadeh narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 93 minutes into the game, Hugh Batungbacal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Szeke Hosseinzadeh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Thanet players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SupaStrikas.
