Ninoy Pecson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacob Cacalda in the 4th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Xarex Kabayao left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C. Cagayan Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When F.C. Cagayan Academy's Xarex Kabayao in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Peppermint Candy's goalie prevented a goal. Casimiro Lansang hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. F.C. Cagayan Academy's Thomas Tecson couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 15th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Peppermint Candy. Cauã Xavier came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by F.C. Cagayan Academy's Tondo Ganzon. But to his dismay, Tondo Ganzon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 20 minutes, Tondo Ganzon made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Peppermint Candy's Cauã Xavier tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 26 minutes into the match, Peppermint Candy's goal looked a bit too open when Tondo Ganzon came free, but Cauã Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ninoy Pecson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob Cacalda in the 27th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xarex Kabayao in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cauã Xavier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st minute Tondo Ganzon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cauã Xavier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peppermint Candy's Cauã Xavier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tondo Ganzon in the 31st minute of play. Cauã Xavier came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by F.C. Cagayan Academy's Xarex Kabayao. But to his dismay, Xarex Kabayao quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Cauã Xavier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tondo Ganzon, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tondo Ganzon in the 37th minute of play forced Peppermint Candy's goalkeeper Cauã Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 played minutes Peppermint Candy got a freekick which was hit by Joseph Valenzuela. Xarex Kabayao recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, F.C. Cagayan Academy's Ninoy Pecson got control of the ball when Cameron Scroccarello tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tondo Ganzon to make the kick off. Cameron Scroccarello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Ninoy Pecson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Peppermint Candy's goalkeeper Cauã Xavier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xarex Kabayao. Tondo Ganzons short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Cauã Xavier to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 60 minutes into the game, Tondo Ganzon lined in a short shot 0-6 behind a frustrated Cauã Xavier. Peppermint Candy's Cauã Xavier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Peppermint Candy from getting a goal against them. In the 64th minute Tondo Ganzon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cauã Xavier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tol Sablon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cauã Xavier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tol Sablon, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. With a little luck, Peppermint Candy's Cauã Xavier got control of the ball when Xarex Kabayao tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cauã Xavier made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Xarex Kabayao sent off a good shot on target. When Nardo Bengzon fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C. Cagayan Academy's protests and gave Nardo Bengzon a yellow card for diving instead. Nardo Bengzon hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 85th match minute, F.C. Cagayan Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tol Sablon to maneuver through the defense. If Xarex Kabayao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tondo Ganzon in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cauã Xavier saved Peppermint Candy from getting behind. A hard shot 91 in the game by Xarex Kabayao from a close distance when the talented Cauã Xavier managed to make a qualified save. Peppermint Candy's players were relieved. 94 minutes into the match, Peppermint Candy's goalkeeper Cauã Xavier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xarex Kabayao. Cauã Xavier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xarex Kabayao in the 96th minute. The F.C. Cagayan Academy supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing F.C. Cagayan Academy would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
