Cagayan Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ninoy Pecson should have stopped the shot. F.C. Cagayan Academy's Ninoy Pecson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Jaddon in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to Peppermint Candy getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Charles Quetua hit a great ball. If Tol Sablon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bartoleme Mazmela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cameron Scroccarello kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob Cacalda in the 33rd minute of play forced F.C. Cagayan Academy's goalkeeper Ninoy Pecson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of F.C. Cagayan Academy booed when Peppermint Candy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Jaddon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tondo Ganzon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Cauã Xavier made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Peppermint Candy's Edgar Salavia got a free kick in the 45th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 47 minutes, Cauã Xavier successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After the first half Peppermint Candy were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tommy Jaddon to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52nd play minutes Tondo Ganzon shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Cauã Xavier and just under the crossbar into goal. Cauã Xavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tondo Ganzon in the 57th minute of play. Ninoy Pecson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob Cacalda, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Ninoy Pecson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joseph Valenzuela in the 61st minute of the match. Xarex Kabayao hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Hortencia Tulabing hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the game, Peppermint Candy's Jacob Cacalda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ninoy Pecson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Cauã Xavier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tondo Ganzon in the 73rd minute of the match. Tol Sablon charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tol Sablon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 74 played minutes F.C. Cagayan Academy got a freekick which was hit by Tol Sablon. Cauã Xavier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xarex Kabayao, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Ninoy Pecson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joseph Valenzuela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cauã Xavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tondo Ganzon in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd match minute, Peppermint Candy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Quetua to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the match, F.C. Cagayan Academy's Thomas Tecson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 88 minutes into the game, Tondo Ganzon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Cauã Xavier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 91 minutes into the match, F.C. Cagayan Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Jaddon came free, but Ninoy Pecson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 minutes, Nardo Bengzon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C. Cagayan Academy and the Peppermint Candy players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nardo Bengzon hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The Peppermint Candy players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented F.C. Cagayan Academy from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
