Jacob Cacalda kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jacob Cacalda came free, but Bayan Bonzon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 12 minutes, Clarence Pumaren made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Peppermint Candy's Nimrod Tongson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Archie Balabagan in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nimrod Tongson saved Peppermint Candy from getting behind. Bayan Bonzon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacob Cacalda in the 16th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clarence Pumaren got free with Nimrod Tongson in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Kyoto Sanga F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Archie Balabagan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Archie Balabagan in the 34th minute of play forced Peppermint Candy's goalkeeper Nimrod Tongson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bayan Bonzon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Jaddon in the 36th minute of the match. Clarence Pumaren took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nimrod Tongson. Nimrod Tongson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Henriqua Tucay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nimrod Tongson having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Peppermint Candy's goalkeeper Nimrod Tongson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicholas Macasa. In the 47th minute Archie Balabagan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nimrod Tongson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

After 50 played minutes Kyoto Sanga F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Nicholas Macasa. Clarence Pumaren took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nimrod Tongson. Nimrod Tongson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Nimrod Tongson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clarence Pumaren in the 60th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Edgar Salavia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Peppermint Candy defense, Aurelius Latap kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nimrod Tongson. The Peppermint Candy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nimrod Tongson should have stopped the shot. In the 67th minute, Nicholas Macasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nimrod Tongson was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. 70 minutes into the match, Archie Balabagan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nimrod Tongson. Peppermint Candy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Archie Balabagan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Aurelius Latap managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Aurelius Latap was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nimrod Tongson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicholas Macasa struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Nimrod Tongson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kyoto Sanga F.C.. Henriqua Tucay kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. The Kyoto Sanga F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Archie Balabagan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. In the 81st minute, Cameron Scroccarello reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bayan Bonzon. The goal made the score 8-1. After a defensive mix-up in Peppermint Candy's zone, Clarence Pumaren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nimrod Tongson came out of the goal and Clarence Pumaren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joseph Valenzuela received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bayan Bonzon came out and tried to block the shot, but Joseph Valenzuela slotted it home off the left post making it 8-2 in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Peppermint Candy players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kyoto Sanga F.C..
