The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ninoy Pecson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelius Latap, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th minute, Tol Sablon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ninoy Pecson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelius Latap in the 9th minute of play. Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Bayan Bonzon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tondo Ganzon in the 10th minute of play. Bayan Bonzon made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Xarex Kabayao sent off a good shot on target. Bartoleme Mazmela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clarence Pumaren took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ninoy Pecson. Ninoy Pecson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ninoy Pecson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Archie Balabagan in the 25th minute of play. Henriqua Tucay lost his temper 27 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kyoto Sanga F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! Bayan Bonzon had in the 28thth minute some difficulties stopping Thomas Tecson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 31st minute, Archie Balabagan made a precise shot to the right of Ninoy Pecson. F.C. Cagayan Academy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurelius Latap in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ninoy Pecson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Archie Balabagan put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Ninoy Pecson. When Nicholas Macasa came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Kyoto Sanga F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicholas Macasa couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Archie Balabagan was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Archie Balabagan in the 52nd minute of play forced F.C. Cagayan Academy's goalkeeper Ninoy Pecson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Archie Balabagan managed to work through F.C. Cagayan Academy's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Archie Balabagan dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 55 minutes into the match, F.C. Cagayan Academy's goalkeeper Ninoy Pecson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicholas Macasa. In the 61st match minute, F.C. Cagayan Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xarex Kabayao to maneuver through the defense. When Xarex Kabayao fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C. Cagayan Academy's protests and gave Xarex Kabayao a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, F.C. Cagayan Academy's Xarex Kabayao got a free kick in the 67th minute. Nicholas Macasa struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Ninoy Pecson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kyoto Sanga F.C.. 71 minutes into the match, Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Archie Balabagan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ninoy Pecson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bayan Bonzon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tol Sablon in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Bartoleme Mazmela made a precise shot to the right of Bayan Bonzon. Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Ninoy Pecson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Archie Balabagan in the 75th minute of the match. Cagayan Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tondo Ganzon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the match, F.C. Cagayan Academy's goalkeeper Ninoy Pecson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aurelius Latap. 91 minutes into the game, F.C. Cagayan Academy's Tol Sablon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bayan Bonzon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Archie Balabagan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute, Archie Balabagan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
