The supporters of General Santos City AFC booed when Yohudid FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ambrosio Calambacal came out and tried to block the shot, but Kapayas Benitez slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 19th minute. 23 minutes into the game, Rammynnos Pendang was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. General Santos City AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yohudid FC the free kick. Rammynnos Pendang hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, General Santos City AFC's Rizaldo Echin got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind General Santos City AFC's goalkeeper Luzon Allado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 29th play minute Romnick Tengco came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ambrosio Calambacal. 3-0. 33 minutes into the game, Gani Delasin threw the ball into play from the sideline. Yohudid FC's Dakila Maduli quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Ambrosio Calambacal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kapayas Benitez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlomagno Niguidula during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Yohudid FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! The referee gave General Santos City AFC a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Stanley Macapugay, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Yohudid FC's Ambrosio Calambacal. 4-0. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romnick Tengco to make the kick off. Wilbur Quetua charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilbur Quetua the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Stanley Macapugay was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 52nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ambrosio Calambacal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romnick Tengco, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Kapayas Benitez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ambrosio Calambacal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanley Macapugay in the 58th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Romnick Tengco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The General Santos City AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1. After some careless play in the Yohudid FC defense, Kapayas Benitez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ambrosio Calambacal. The Yohudid FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ambrosio Calambacal should have stopped the shot. In the 87th minute, Romnick Tengco made a precise shot to the right of Ambrosio Calambacal. Yohudid FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-1. Ambrosio Calambacal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanley Macapugay in the 90th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Yohudid FC's zone, Romnick Tengco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ambrosio Calambacal came out of the goal and Romnick Tengco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 96 minutes into the match, Romnick Tengco notched a goal, 10-1, to the right of Yohudid FC's Ambrosio Calambacal. Ambrosio Calambacal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
