Ricky Haryanto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute Ricky Haryanto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donnie Fitriansyah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tanjong's Donnie Fitriansyah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricky Haryanto in the 47th minute of play.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ferry Sinuraya during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 51 played minutes Tanjong got a freekick which was hit by Ferry Sinuraya. In the 57th minute, Iswadi Hans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Taufik Panjaitan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yahya Cahyono Putro having to interfere. Porman Bangun's late challenge caught a Tanjong's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yahya Cahyono Putro came out of the goal and Ferry Sinuraya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 73 played minutes Tanjong got a freekick which was hit by Wahyu Sugendo. 74 minutes into the match, Tanjong's goal looked a bit too open when Iswadi Hans came free, but Donnie Fitriansyah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute Ricky Haryanto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donnie Fitriansyah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ricky Haryanto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taufik Panjaitan was extremely unlucky when he, in the 86th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Yahya Cahyono Putro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferry Sinuraya in the 87th minute of the match. Yahya Cahyono Putro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hastomo Wibowo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 94 minute of play. Tanjong's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
