In the 15th minute, Iswadi Panjaitan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mahadi Sinuraya. The goal made the score 1-1. After 36 played minutes PSM Kelume got a freekick which was hit by Daus Prima. Putu Muchtaji sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, Putu Ginting hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iswadi Panjaitan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mahadi Sinuraya having to interfere. Wajabula's Eboy Tarigan got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rexy Ridliwan to make the kick off. Mahadi Sinuraya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Putu Muchtaji, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 53 minutes, Iswadi Panjaitan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wajabula's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iswadi Panjaitan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 55 minutes into the match, PSM Kelume's goal looked a bit too open when Iswadi Panjaitan came free, but Mahadi Sinuraya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iswadi Panjaitan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mahadi Sinuraya having to interfere. Putu Muchtaji sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iswadi Panjaitan in the 75th minute of play forced PSM Kelume's goalkeeper Mahadi Sinuraya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iswadi Panjaitan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Putu Muchtaji's late challenge caught a PSM Kelume's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
