PSM Tagir's Mario Barus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save PSM Tagir from getting a goal against them. After 6 played minutes PSM Tagir got a freekick which was hit by Wahyu Barus. Boy Barus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kitam Haryanto, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Sigit Putiray recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Sigit Putiray's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Boy Barus was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Sigit Putiray put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Boy Barus. 23 minutes into the match, Kitam Haryanto notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Golden Phoenix FC's Boy Barus. Boy Barus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kitam Haryanto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Boy Barus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boy Barus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kitam Haryanto's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute of the match Hastomo Febrian sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Boy Barus skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the Golden Phoenix FC defense, Kitam Haryanto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Boy Barus. The Golden Phoenix FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Boy Barus should have stopped the shot. Boy Barus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kitam Haryanto in the 43rd minute of the match. PSM Tagir's Sigit Putiray got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Micky Darwis to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Ichwan Darwis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Golden Phoenix FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ichwan Darwis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mario Barus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. PSM Tagir's Mario Barus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Micky Darwis in the 56th minute of play. The supporters of Golden Phoenix FC booed when PSM Tagir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wahyu Barus didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute, Iswadi Reza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donny Aswin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Barus having to interfere. Jakob Idris kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kitam Haryanto in the 72nd minute of play forced Golden Phoenix FC's goalkeeper Boy Barus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Kitam Haryanto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Boy Barus was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Mario Barus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Micky Darwis, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Mario Barus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donny Aswin in the 80th minute of play. In the 92ndth minute of the game Kitam Haryanto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Golden Phoenix FC's Boy Barus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sigit Putiray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boy Barus having to interfere. When PSM Tagir's Kitam Haryanto in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Golden Phoenix FC's goalie prevented a goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. PSM Tagir had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
