The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candra Mainaky in the 3rd minute of play forced MadMan's goalkeeper Bulsky Suprianto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bulsky Suprianto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 13thth minute of the game Candra Mainaky who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MadMan's Bulsky Suprianto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Romi Cahyono Putro came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the MadMan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romi Cahyono Putro couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Romi Cahyono Putro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Porman Kaban was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Putu Prima struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Porman Kaban didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MadMan. After a rather tough play, MadMan's Dian Subagdja got a free kick in the 35th minute. Romi Cahyono Putro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Porman Kaban read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Romi Cahyono Putro was the one to do the kick off. Awalludin Idris's late challenge caught a Salinaoe FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Awalludin Idris helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to MadMan getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Awalludin Idris hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Putu Prima managed to get in a good position for a shot. MadMan's supporters rose to their feet, but Putu Prima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Porman Kaban breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Salinaoe FC's Porman Kaban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romi Cahyono Putro in the 69th minute of play. Pandapotan Ketaren charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pandapotan Ketaren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st match minute, Salinaoe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pandapotan Ketaren to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Salinaoe FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jojo Suprianto was slow to take the kick. During this time MadMan's players had a chance to rest. The corner led MadMan's Jojo Suprianto to fire away a dangerous shot which Porman Kaban despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 79th match minute, MadMan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wahyu Oktavianus to maneuver through the defense. Porman Kaban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romi Cahyono Putro, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romi Cahyono Putro in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Porman Kaban saved Salinaoe FC from getting behind. MadMan's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
