After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Firdaus Tarigan managed to get in a good position for a shot. PSM Siulakdera's supporters rose to their feet, but Firdaus Tarigan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bulek Guci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of PSM Siulakdera booed when Manggaang FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fadhly Simamora didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Taufik Sarwanto to make the kick off. Bulek Guci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Firdaus Tarigan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Bangun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Andi Akmal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
