Sarawakian's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Sarawakian's Firdaus Simamora got a free kick in the 21st minute. Wahyu Simamora could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Donnie Mainaky made a huge save. Donnie Mainaky made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joko Hidayat in the 23rd minute of play. Donnie Mainaky took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joko Hidayat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Sarawakian getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Rochy Sinulingga hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sarawakian's zone, Joko Hidayat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donnie Mainaky came out of the goal and Joko Hidayat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joko Hidayat struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Donnie Mainaky didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jatipulo. 40 minutes into the match, Sarawakian's goalkeeper Donnie Mainaky had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wahyu Simamora. Jatipulo's Joko Hidayat got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 61st minute, Haikal Oktavianus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wahyu Simamora received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Donnie Mainaky tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sarawakian's Donnie Mainaky played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wahyu Simamora in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sarawakian's zone, Wahyu Simamora stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donnie Mainaky came out of the goal and Wahyu Simamora tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Donnie Mainaky stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joko Hidayat's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. In the 81st minute, Wahyu Simamora got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hendrawan Priyatno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Bongky Reza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Dian Hidayat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
