Sayoang's Rexy Cahyono Putro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dian Pane in the 16th minute of play. Paijo Romatua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Donny Suprianto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Dian Pane came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Mahendra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dian Pane couldn't finish the play. In the 27thth minute of the game Mahadi Ginting who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sayoang's Rexy Cahyono Putro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dian Pane might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rexy Cahyono Putro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dian Pane ran back to his position shaking his head. Donnie Muchtaji recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Donnie Muchtaji sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mahadi Ginting came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Mahendra fans jumped to their feet. After 44 minutes, Gendo Chaniago mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sayoang and the Mahendra players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sayoang! Fery Hans placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 54th minute Donnie Muchtaji shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donny Suprianto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mahendra's attentive Mahadi Ginting managed to snatch the ball when Jatuh Febrian made a throw-in in the 61st minute of the game. Hardy Sinuhaji recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Joshua Sinambela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mahendra's supporters rose to their feet, but Joshua Sinambela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rexy Cahyono Putro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hardy Sinuhaji got free with Rexy Cahyono Putro in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paijo Romatua's late challenge caught a Mahendra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paijo Romatua helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sayoang getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Paijo Romatua hit a great ball. Mahadi Ginting sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sayoang's Rexy Cahyono Putro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dian Pane in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute of the match, Dian Pane tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rexy Cahyono Putro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Bulek Guchi fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sayoang's protests and gave Bulek Guchi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sayoang getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Bulek Guchi hit a great ball. With a little luck, Sayoang's Rexy Cahyono Putro got control of the ball when Hardy Sinuhaji tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Mahendra fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Mahendra's Dian Pane looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Hardy Sinuhaji fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rexy Cahyono Putro having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Dian Pane managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mahendra's supporters rose to their feet, but Dian Pane was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rexy Cahyono Putro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle sounded Mahendra left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sayoang.
