Bento Putiray charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bento Putiray the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Molombulahe C's Bento Putiray got a free kick in the 21st minute. Tiar Darwis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Wijaya in the 34th minute of the match. If Taufik Alexander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the game, Martin Wijaya was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Molombulahe C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Banjuwangi the free kick.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martin Wijaya made a kick off. The supporters of Molombulahe C booed when Banjuwangi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taufik Alexander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiar Darwis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Firdaus Karo-karo, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Kooth in the 67th minute of play forced Molombulahe C's goalkeeper Hardy Sinambela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th match minute, Banjuwangi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Kooth to maneuver through the defense. Hardy Sinambela came out of the goal and Taufik Alexander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
