In the 38th match minute, Bambapoela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haryanto Ridliwan to maneuver through the defense. Gio Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jatuh Sinuhaji having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Mahadi Barus made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Hélio de Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. April 16's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hélio de Senna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Braulio Castaño hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Jatuh Sinuhaji showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daus Panjaitan in the 60th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Nasum Oktavianus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jatuh Sinuhaji saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Gio Moreno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
