The PSP Mapan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erling Halland should have stopped the shot. Andra Martin hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tarakan's zone, Rochy Budiarto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haryanto Putiray came out of the goal and Rochy Budiarto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. PSP Mapan's Taufik Eiboy got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Tarakan's Haryanto Putiray got control of the ball when Rochy Budiarto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rochy Budiarto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 41st minute, Rochy Budiarto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Haryanto Putiray was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Fery Dewa kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After 45 played minutes, Tarakan's Bongky Sembiring shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erling Halland came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tarakan reached it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paijo Sembiring was the one to do the kick off. After 65 minutes, Nasum Sarwanto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PSP Mapan and the Tarakan players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tarakan's Bongky Sembiring couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 97th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for PSP Mapan. The PSP Mapan supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tarakan's performance. The match ended with a win for Tarakan.
