After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Firdaus Arbi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Selangor FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Firdaus Arbi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hastomo Budikusuma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Firdaus Arbi scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hastomo Budikusuma, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bulsky Sipayung kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Jeretwar FC defense, Hastomo Pane kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hastomo Budikusuma. The Jeretwar FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hastomo Budikusuma should have stopped the shot. Hastomo Budikusuma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hastomo Pane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Jeretwar FC defense, Firdaus Arbi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hastomo Budikusuma. The Jeretwar FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hastomo Budikusuma should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute Firdaus Arbi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hastomo Budikusuma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Hastomo Pane's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hastomo Budikusuma was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Hastomo Budikusuma didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hastomo Pane went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Hastomo Budikusuma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Firdaus Arbi, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 47th match minute, Jeretwar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robbie Putiray to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The wind increased when Firdaus Arbi made the kick off in the second half. Hastomo Budikusuma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Firdaus Arbi, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Hastomo Pane kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hastomo Budikusuma. That made the score 0-6 in the 54 minute of play. The supporters of Selangor FC booed when Jeretwar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Budi Febrian didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute Firdaus Arbi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hastomo Budikusuma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bulek Wijaya kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Donny Barus kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Selangor FC's Steve Sinuraya got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Firdaus Arbi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hastomo Pane got free with Hastomo Budikusuma in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 72 minutes into the match, Jeretwar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hastomo Pane came free, but Hastomo Budikusuma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hastomo Budikusuma was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Firdaus Arbi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 74 minute of play. Hastomo Pane recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Jeretwar FC's goalkeeper Hastomo Budikusuma had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hastomo Pane. Hastomo Budikusuma made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Hastomo Pane sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice moves Hastomo Pane could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Hastomo Budikusuma however easily saved by the left post. Haryanto Eiboy's late challenge caught a Selangor FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Haryanto Eiboy helped the player get up and apologised. With a little luck, Jeretwar FC's Hastomo Budikusuma got control of the ball when Hastomo Pane tried to sneak it across the goal line. Firdaus Arbi might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hastomo Budikusuma. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Firdaus Arbi ran back to his position shaking his head. Hastomo Budikusuma came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Selangor FC's Hastomo Pane. But to his dismay, Hastomo Pane quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. When the match was over Selangor FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Jeretwar FC throughout the match.
