In the 6th minute, 孟勇广 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by 梅建思 in the 15th minute of play forced Manchester City's goalkeeper 马松竞 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 梅建思 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 马松竞 having to interfere. 马松竞 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 邵剑晨 in the 20th minute of the match. 陆政强's late challenge caught a 上海黄浦热火俱乐部队's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 陆政强 helped the player get up and apologised. After 27 played minutes Manchester City got a freekick which was hit by 陆政强. 张宽思 charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed 张宽思 the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th match minute, Manchester City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 张宽思 to maneuver through the defense. 龙崇志 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 42 minutes, 邵剑晨 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 上海黄浦热火俱乐部队's supporters crossed their fingers, but 邵剑晨 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 44 minutes into the game, 龙崇志 recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of 温鸿希. 龙崇志 showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 47th minute 彭建林 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 温鸿希 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 邵剑晨 was the one to do the kick off. 上海黄浦热火俱乐部队's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by 孙寒骏 in the 52nd minute. The corner ended in 孙寒骏 almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Manchester City's 马松竞 did a great save. After a rather tough play, 上海黄浦热火俱乐部队's 刘坤寒 got a free kick in the 56th minute. 刘坤寒 hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 彭建林 hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 梅建思 who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of 马松竞 when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Manchester City getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. 彭云杰 hit a great ball. 温鸿希 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 彭建林 in the 70th minute of play. 彭建林 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If 彭建林 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manchester City's 龙崇志 got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manchester City's 马松竞 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Manchester City from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 龙崇志 in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 温鸿希 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, 上海黄浦热火俱乐部队's 尹坤朗 got a free kick in the 89th minute. 温鸿希 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 龙崇志, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
