In the 44th minute, 河南平顶山西城俱乐部队's 潘梁勇 ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind 陆奕西. 陆奕西 yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 潘梁勇 was the one to do the kick off. If 尹伟青 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute.
