After 22 played minutes 乌海瞎突突足球俱乐部 got a freekick which was hit by 姜城夕. 傅广桦 hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. 程正常 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 邓俊青, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute, 吕勇松 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 played minutes Schalke 04 got a freekick which was hit by 崔霖剑. 朱德升 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 周超枫, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 周超枫 was the one to do the kick off. 朱德升 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 姜城夕 in the 51st minute of the match. 53 minutes into the game, 毛庭朋 threw the ball into play from the sideline. Schalke 04's 蒋桦荣 quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 蒋桦荣 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. 程正常 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of 乌海瞎突突足球俱乐部 booed when Schalke 04 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. 崔霖剑 didn't get a good kick on the ball. 朱德升 made an important save on a dangerous shot by 傅广桦 in the 86th minute.
