The audience thought a goal was coming when Gong Guang Ke got free with 莫挺震 in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 四川巴中联队's Zhou Zheng managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by 武克枫 in the 11 minute of the game. Peng Lin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 朱棋兴, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, 四川巴中联队's Gao Guang Qiang got a free kick in the 16th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 朱棋兴 couldn't finish the play. Peng Lin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 程国扬 went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 45th minute 程国扬 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peng Lin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gong Guang Ke was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 93 minutes, Gong Guang Ke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 四川巴中联队's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gong Guang Ke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 厦门鹭岛's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
