In the 20th match minute, Daejeon United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 김 변 to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by 김 제갈 in the 21st minute really tested 김 연's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Daejeon United's 김 연 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Martxelin in the 22nd minute of play. 공 화 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 김 왕, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 공 화 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 김 왕 in the 27th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Federico Emesto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving 김 연. That made the score 3-1 in the 40 minute of play. Daejeon United's 김 연 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 김 제갈 in the 43rd minute of play. Eustaquio Martxelin's late challenge caught a Daejeon United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eustaquio Martxelin helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Daejeon United booed when Mayongsung Dreams was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustaquio Martxelin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Mayongsung Dreams's goal looked a bit too open when 정 점 came free, but 공 화 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 정 점 made a kick off. Jesse Barrientos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. 공 화 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 74 minutes, 정 점 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Daejeon United's supporters crossed their fingers, but 정 점 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mayongsung Dreams's 공 화 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 정 점 in the 75th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Eustaquio Martxelin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of 김 연. Daejeon United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eustaquio Martxelin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mayongsung Dreams had played much better football throughout.
