Seating: 1762, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Benedict Addison took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Peter Clist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nathaniel Deeth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedict Addison in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murphy Mckay in the 9th minute of play forced Shepparton's goalkeeper Martin White to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shepparton's Martin White played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steve Hines in the 10th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Valery's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Peter Clist fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 14 minutes in the game, Benedict Addison dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After 17 played minutes Shepparton got a freekick which was hit by Rudolph Flisfeder. Murphy Mckay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martin White made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steve Hines in the 22nd minute of play. Valery's Zackery Minne suffered a sore thigh after 22 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, Shepparton's Tommy Durbridge got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Murphy Mckay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Shepparton getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Tommy Durbridge hit a great ball. Shepparton's Tommy Durbridge got his second yellow card of the match in the 33rd minute. The referee ordered Tommy Durbridge off the ground. The supporters of Valery booed when Shepparton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Durbridge didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Britton Bromfield came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Valery fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Britton Bromfield couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Shepparton's Benedict Addison got a free kick in the 38th minute. Murphy Mckay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Martin White tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steve Hines took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Martin White. Martin White dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Grant Gorham came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Valery fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Grant Gorham couldn't finish the play. Murphy Mckay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin White having to interfere.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Murphy Mckay to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Valery getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Steve Hines hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Shepparton's zone, Murphy Mckay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin White came out of the goal and Murphy Mckay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Steve Hines recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Murphy Mckay received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Martin White came out and tried to block the shot, but Murphy Mckay slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 61st minute. Everitt Schultz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 67 in the game by Murphy Mckay from a close distance when the talented Martin White managed to make a qualified save. Shepparton's players were relieved. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Shepparton's Martin White got control of the ball when Steve Hines tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th minute, Murphy Mckay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Murphy Mckay in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Martin White, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Grant Gorham in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. After a rather tough play, Valery's Everitt Schultz got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute, Murphy Mckay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Martin White was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Murphy Mckay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin White showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steve Hines, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The Shepparton fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Valery were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
