Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Bradshaw Lander made the kick off which started today's match. Benjamin Ridding made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bradshaw Lander in the 3rd minute. When Alexander Notley fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tawonga's protests and gave Alexander Notley a yellow card for diving instead. Alexander Notley hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Bock Colman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pittong's supporters rose to their feet, but Bock Colman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Loud Awage breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benjamin Ridding took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abbott Sylvester, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamin Ridding showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abbott Sylvester, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Rick Fortington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Ridding having to interfere. Bradshaw Lander struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Benjamin Ridding didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tawonga. After a rather tough play, Pittong's Michael Argoud got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Pittong's Alberto Park sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Loud Awage narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Tawonga's goal looked a bit too open when Marshall Boylin came free, but Loud Awage reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ralph Mccartan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Ridding having to interfere. Marshall Boylin struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Loud Awage didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pittong. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ralph Mccartan during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ralph Mccartan hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alberto Park was the one to do the kick off. Benjamin Ridding took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Art Copelin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bradshaw Lander's late challenge caught a Pittong's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bradshaw Lander helped the player get up and apologised. After 55 played minutes Tawonga got a freekick which was hit by Bradshaw Lander. 56 minutes into the match, Pittong's Marshall Boylin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Loud Awage narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralph Mccartan in the 57th minute of play forced Pittong's goalkeeper Benjamin Ridding to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bradshaw Lander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Benjamin Ridding tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ralph Mccartan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bradshaw Lander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bradshaw Lander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Benjamin Ridding tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ralph Mccartan hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Pittong's Jarrod Duncan got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 75th minute, Ralph Mccartan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Park hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Benjamin Ridding made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradshaw Lander in the 78th minute of play. After having played for 79 minutes, Abbott Sylvester managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tawonga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abbott Sylvester was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Art Copelin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamin Ridding was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The supporters of Tawonga booed when Pittong was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Mosley didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Ralph Mccartan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benjamin Ridding. Pittong's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ralph Mccartan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Tawonga's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
