Spectators: 6758 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1758, VIP seats: 0) Australian Legends's Earle Rosenboom started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Norman Hodgson got free with Randell Osbiston in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8th play minute Norman Hodgson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Randell Osbiston. 1-0. Robert Devine charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robert Devine the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Coonalpyn's Robert Devine got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 13thth minute of the game Earle Rosenboom who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coonalpyn's Bert Dalglish was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Coonalpyn's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Byrnes came free, but Bert Dalglish reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Randolph Durbin hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Randell Osbiston took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brice Royans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dario Boserio during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dario Boserio kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Ian Byrnes put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bert Dalglish. Randell Osbiston made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Norman Hodgson sent off a good shot on target. Norman Hodgson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Randell Osbiston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brice Royans in the 40th minute of play. Earle Rosenboom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bert Dalglish having to interfere. After 45 minutes, Larkins Ceney mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coonalpyn and the Australian Legends players grew even worse after the yellow card. Larkins Ceney kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brice Royans to strike the kick off in the second half. Brice Royans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Norman Hodgson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Randell Osbiston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norman Hodgson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randell Osbiston having to interfere. Australian Legends's Randell Osbiston played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brice Royans in the 63rd minute of play. Ian Byrnes might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bert Dalglish. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ian Byrnes ran back to his position shaking his head. Bert Dalglish showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Earle Rosenboom in the 72nd minute of the match. After 76 played minutes Coonalpyn got a freekick which was hit by Damon Markwell. In the 79th minute of the match Australian Legends got a corner. Coonalpyn's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Humphry Luckham ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Australian Legends's Humphry Luckham to fire away a dangerous shot which Bert Dalglish despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 81st minute Brice Royans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Randell Osbiston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Brice Royans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Randell Osbiston was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Randell Osbiston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brice Royans, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Brice Royans might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Randell Osbiston. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brice Royans ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Norman Hodgson in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Randell Osbiston prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Australian Legends getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Lauder Thiele hit a great ball. After having played for 94 minutes, Norman Hodgson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coonalpyn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Norman Hodgson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bert Dalglish made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Ian Byrnes sent off a good shot on target. When the referee ended the match the Coonalpyn players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
