Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Craig Lonergan started the match with the kick off. Brookes Hogan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cassilis's zone, Hank Howard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hal Cameron came out of the goal and Hank Howard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wallacedale's Craig Lonergan got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jacob Mckinley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arty Gummow's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. After 19 played minutes Cassilis got a freekick which was hit by Brookes Hogan. Hal Cameron made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Hank Howard sent off a good shot on target. Arty Gummow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacob Mckinley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arty Gummow in the 27th minute of the match. When Artie Kuskoff fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wallacedale's protests and gave Artie Kuskoff a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Wallacedale's Artie Kuskoff got a free kick in the 34th minute. Jacob Mckinley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bartholemew Gronow's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Bartholemew Gronow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacob Mckinley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arty Gummow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacob Mckinley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arty Gummow, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Wallacedale's Artie Kuskoff got his second yellow card of the match in the 46th minute. The referee ordered Artie Kuskoff off the ground. In the 46th minute, Artie Kuskoff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arty Gummow to make the kick off. Arty Gummow received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jacob Mckinley came out and tried to block the shot, but Arty Gummow slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 55th minute. Bartholemew Gronow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bartholemew Gronow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Jacob Mckinley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Craig Lonergan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hank Howard ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Cassilis getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Nick Vickery hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Hank Howard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wallacedale's supporters rose to their feet, but Hank Howard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hal Cameron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arty Gummow in the 93rd minute of play forced Wallacedale's goalkeeper Jacob Mckinley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
