Rick Paynter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rusty Anders, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 7th minute Rusty Anders shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rick Paynter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Bennett Snabl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute, Alvin Laing reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Norman Anders. The goal made the score 1-0. Paul Fessa's late challenge caught a Cathusndral's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paul Fessa helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Wallaroo's Paul Fessa got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute of the match Bennett Snabl sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rick Paynter skillfully saved the ball. Cathusndral's Norman Anders played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corey Anders in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rusty Anders in the 28th minute of play forced Wallaroo's goalkeeper Rick Paynter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Boris Schoenke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rick Paynter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Wallaroo's zone, Rusty Anders stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rick Paynter came out of the goal and Rusty Anders tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lewis Powderham struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. After 62 minutes, Aden Connell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wallaroo and the Cathusndral players grew even worse after the yellow card. But to his dismay, Alvin Laing quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Rick Paynter was a little too slow when Dugald Johnston got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 2-1. Norman Anders showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvin Laing in the 77th minute of the match. Wallaroo's Rick Paynter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rusty Anders in the 78th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cathusndral's Conner Legg got a free kick in the 79th minute. 81 minutes into the game, one of Wallaroo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bennett Snabl shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After 89th play minutes Rusty Anders shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Rick Paynter and just under the crossbar into goal. 92 minutes into the game, Wallaroo's Corey Anders nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Norman Anders made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2.
