Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Best Macumber started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Moonbar's goalkeeper Edison Bennett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ace Pickhills charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ace Pickhills the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Moonbar booed when Frances was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ace Pickhills didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Moonbar's Kent Dowsing threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Daniel Thorne, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Frances's Best Macumber got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frances's Earnest Oconnell got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Best Macumber notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Moonbar's Edison Bennett. Edison Bennett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 22 minutes into the match, Frances's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Thorne came free, but Kent Dowsing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Best Macumber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Frances booed when Moonbar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carman Palmington didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reginald Lester kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Moonbar's goal looked a bit too open when Best Macumber came free, but Edison Bennett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the match, Frances's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Thorne came free, but Kent Dowsing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Frances's goalkeeper Kent Dowsing had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clifford Fazey. 41 minutes into the match, Moonbar's goal looked a bit too open when Best Macumber came free, but Edison Bennett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Thorne made a kick off. Navarro Foley kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Frances's Kent Dowsing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Thorne in the 57th minute of play. Clifford Fazey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kent Dowsing read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute Best Macumber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edison Bennett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Frances's goal looked a bit too open when Clifford Fazey came free, but Kent Dowsing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Thorne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Kent Dowsing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Frances's goal looked a bit too open when Clifford Fazey came free, but Kent Dowsing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Clifford Fazey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kent Dowsing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Thorne in the 89th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Frances walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
