Randle Eicke made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Brynn Perandis sent off a good shot on target. Phil Haskell kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes, Morkalla's Bradford Wood shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Randle Eicke came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Morkalla reached it. In the 28th minute of the match Billy Monson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cregan Delahide skillfully saved the ball. After 32 played minutes Morkalla got a freekick which was hit by Brynn Perandis. Cregan Delahide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rick Odd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rick Odd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 39 played minutes Morton got a freekick which was hit by Brad Allan. Brynn Perandis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Randle Eicke made a huge save. Brook Gannan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Rick Odd made the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute, Brynn Perandis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Randle Eicke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jess Todman, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. When Morkalla's Brynn Perandis in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Morton's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bryden Edwards during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Morkalla booed when Morton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bryden Edwards didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brynn Perandis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randle Eicke having to interfere. Cregan Delahide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rick Odd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jess Todman in the 72nd minute of play forced Morton's goalkeeper Randle Eicke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute Brynn Perandis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Randle Eicke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Morton's Randle Eicke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brynn Perandis in the 75th minute of play. Rick Odd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jess Todman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brook Gannan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cregan Delahide having to interfere. If Jess Todman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Russel Gillingwater fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Morton's protests and gave Russel Gillingwater a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brynn Perandis in the 95th minute of play forced Morton's goalkeeper Randle Eicke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bradford Gorham hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Morton players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Morkalla.
