Kelmscott's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Narraweena Azzurri the free kick. After 22 played minutes Kelmscott got a freekick which was hit by Casper Oconnell. Jarrod Rhodes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Narraweena Azzurri's Meyer Bonham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesse Perandis in the 56th minute of play. Kelmscott's Keith Rowden proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Kelmscott from getting a goal against them. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Narraweena Azzurri! Meyer Bonham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brian Oconnell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, Brian Oconnell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Meyer Bonham. Narraweena Azzurri's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brian Oconnell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. If Jesse Cusbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kelmscott's Casper Oconnell got his second yellow card of the match in the 77th minute. The referee ordered Casper Oconnell off the ground. The supporters of Narraweena Azzurri booed when Kelmscott was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casper Oconnell didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute of the match, Jesse Cusbert got a very nice opportunity to score, but Keith Rowden was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jesse Perandis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Meyer Bonham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Meyer Bonham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brian Oconnell in the 85th minute of play. Joseph King sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Meyer Bonham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesse Perandis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kelmscott walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
