Stephan Boneheyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philip Wilson struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Payton Beckwith didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lyrup. Neale Twite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Payton Beckwith tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Erreys's goalkeeper Payton Beckwith had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Philip Wilson. Neale Twite hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Philip Wilson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Payton Beckwith was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 29th minute, Andrew Alves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Erreys fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Stephan Boneheyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Alberto Newton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute Andrew Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Newton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stephan Boneheyo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, Andrew Alves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alberto Newton. Lyrup's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andrew Alves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After 70 played minutes Stephan Boneheyo rounded Lyrup's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. After a rather tough play, Lyrup's Carleton Fordham got a free kick in the 74th minute. Max Stanton, 74 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Stephan Boneheyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Newton having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Lyrup's Benjy Virgin got a free kick in the 89th minute. If Stephan Boneheyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erreys's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
