Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Goonaus's Pedro Ronaldinho started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Goonaus's Barnett Bacon got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arty Mcgrath stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adolfo Paynter's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 12thth minute of the game Pedro Ronaldinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lachlan's Arty Mcgrath was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Pedro Ronaldinho put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Arty Mcgrath. After a defensive mix-up in Lachlan's zone, Adolfo Paynter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arty Mcgrath came out of the goal and Adolfo Paynter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Lawrence Twite fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lachlan's protests and gave Lawrence Twite a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Lachlan's Phil Sylvester got a free kick in the 28th minute. Arty Mcgrath took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Paynter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Goonaus's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Steve Tenser scored to the left of an out of position Bob Stevens, making the score, 1-1. Lachlan's Arty Mcgrath played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Paynter in the 41st minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Goonaus's goalkeeper Bob Stevens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lawrence Twite. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Steve Tenser to strike the kick off in the second half. Steve Tenser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Bob Stevens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Goonaus's Bob Stevens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steve Tenser in the 54th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Adolfo Paynter put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Arty Mcgrath. Bob Stevens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lawrence Twite in the 67th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Adolfo Paynter notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Lachlan's Arty Mcgrath. Arty Mcgrath was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 73rd match minute, Goonaus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ľubomír Široký to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th match minute, Lachlan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward Gillingwater to maneuver through the defense. Lachlan's Arty Mcgrath proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Lachlan from getting a goal against them. Adolfo Paynters short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Arty Mcgrath to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Pedro Ronaldinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arty Mcgrath having to interfere. A collision led to Lachlan getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Edward Gillingwater hit a great ball. Arty Mcgrath made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Pedro Ronaldinho sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Lachlan's Arty Mcgrath got control of the ball when Adolfo Paynter tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Goonaus left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lachlan.
