Bern Sparrow's late challenge caught a Goonaus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bern Sparrow helped the player get up and apologised. Bern Sparrow hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Cliff Raison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Ronaldinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. A hard shot 19 in the game by Adolfo Paynter from a close distance when the talented Cliff Raison managed to make a qualified save. Gilgering's players were relieved. In the 20th minute, Ľubomír Široký hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cliff Raison was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Pedro Ronaldinho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pedro Ronaldinho really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Cliff Raison was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pedro Ronaldinho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 30 minute of play. Cliff Raison came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Goonaus's Adolfo Paynter. But to his dismay, Adolfo Paynter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Cornelius Haslett hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Goonaus's Cliff Raison threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pedro Ronaldinho, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cliff Raison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Ronaldinho in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Peter Mundine to make the kick off. Adolfo Paynter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 56 minutes of play, Goonaus's Pedro Ronaldinho made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cliff Raison was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 61st play minutes Pedro Ronaldinho shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Cliff Raison and just under the crossbar into goal. 65 minutes into the match, Gilgering's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Ronaldinho came free, but Cliff Raison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cliff Raison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Ronaldinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After some careless play in the Gilgering defense, Adolfo Paynter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cliff Raison. The Gilgering fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cliff Raison should have stopped the shot. 78 minutes into the game, Adolfo Paynter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Cliff Raison was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Peter Mundine hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Adolfo Paynter struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Cliff Raison didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goonaus.
