The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Browne Bowen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mark Smoothy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Allen Newton in the 7th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Allen Newton kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mark Smoothy. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Calabria F.C's Mark Smoothy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Browne Bowen in the 11th minute of play. Browne Bowen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Weymouth booed when Calabria F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jordon Quinane didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Allen Newton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Weymouth's supporters rose to their feet, but Allen Newton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mark Smoothy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The wind increased when Browne Bowen made the kick off in the second half. Allen Newton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Smoothy having to interfere. Browne Bowen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nilson Bridson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Cullen Reiter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Browne Bowen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mark Smoothy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Browne Bowen in the 74th minute of the match. Allen Owens kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Calabria F.C's Jordon Quinane got a free kick in the 79th minute. After 81 minutes Calabria F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ozzie Boyd who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Ozzie Boyd got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mark Smoothy quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 84 minutes into the game, Calabria F.C's Jordon Quinane nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cullen Reiter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 87th minute Browne Bowen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Smoothy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matthews Peach blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cullen Reiter having to make a save. The supporters of Weymouth booed when Calabria F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dwight Nunn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ozzie Boyd missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 94 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Mark Smoothy right hand side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Weymouth fully deserved thier win.
