Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bartholemew Blackham took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a little luck, Albury's Edmonds Skurrie got control of the ball when Ralph Muncaster tried to sneak it across the goal line. A hard shot 5 in the game by Ralph Muncaster from a close distance when the talented Edmonds Skurrie managed to make a qualified save. Albury's players were relieved. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Mark Phasey took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Edmonds Skurrie to make any attempt to save it. Jacobs Grieve hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Ralph Muncaster struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Edmonds Skurrie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Darlimurla. Stanley Rhoades received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Clifford Connell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mark Phasey came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Darlimurla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mark Phasey couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd minute Mark Phasey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmonds Skurrie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Darlimurla's Ralph Muncaster came free and shot a quick shot against goal 29 minutes in the game, fortunately Edmonds Skurrie had problems saving as it came toward the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Milton Boots managed to get in a good position for a shot. Darlimurla's supporters rose to their feet, but Milton Boots was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmonds Skurrie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Darlimurla's Mark Phasey in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Albury's goalie prevented a goal. Ralph Muncaster struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Edmonds Skurrie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Darlimurla. Albury's Edmonds Skurrie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Albury from getting a goal against them. Mark Phasey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Edmonds Skurrie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Edmonds Skurrie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mark Phasey in the 52nd minute of the match. Edmonds Skurrie came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Darlimurla's Ralph Muncaster. But to his dismay, Ralph Muncaster quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Edmonds Skurrie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralph Muncaster, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute, Ralph Muncaster got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Mark Phasey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmonds Skurrie was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. When Darlimurla's Mark Phasey in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Albury's goalie prevented a goal. Keith Lascelles hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. When Britton Ridding fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Albury's protests and gave Britton Ridding a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Albury:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Darlimurla:s goal. In the 71st minute there was a penalty for Darlimurla. Darell Nurthen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Edmonds Skurrie. 3-0. Darell Nurthen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edmonds Skurrie. Albury's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Albury's Edmonds Skurrie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Phasey in the 87th minute of play. Barry Phillips fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmonds Skurrie having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Phasey in the 94th minute of play forced Albury's goalkeeper Edmonds Skurrie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mark Phasey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Darlimurla had played much better football throughout.
