Sandhurst's Douglas Heathwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrizio Ludwick in the 20th minute of play. After 22 minutes, Reese Ambrose mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Runnymede and the Sandhurst players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Reese Ambrose hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olliver Paynter took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Douglas Heathwood. Douglas Heathwood dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Douglas Heathwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olliver Paynter in the 29th minute of play. Runnymede's Tobie Kuskop played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clark Pfingst in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute Clark Pfingst shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobie Kuskop saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charles Neich struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Tobie Kuskop didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sandhurst. In the 40th minute Olliver Paynter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Heathwood saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrizio Ludwick in the 42nd minute of play forced Sandhurst's goalkeeper Douglas Heathwood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabrizio Ludwick in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Douglas Heathwood saved Sandhurst from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After 52 minutes, Charles Neich made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Runnymede's Tobie Kuskop tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clark Pfingst in the 73rd minute of play forced Runnymede's goalkeeper Tobie Kuskop to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 minutes of play, Runnymede's Olliver Paynter made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Douglas Heathwood was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fabrizio Ludwick in the 79thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Douglas Heathwood, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Douglas Heathwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olliver Paynter in the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute of the match Runnymede got a corner. Sandhurst's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Quade Huntington ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Sandhurst's goalie and right to Alfred Hoey. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Sandhurst's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. If Fabrizio Ludwick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the game, Runnymede's Fabrizio Ludwick nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Douglas Heathwood made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Lance Maddern's late challenge caught a Runnymede's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lance Maddern helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th minute, Lance Maddern hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Runnymede getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Reese Ambrose hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Runnymede walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
