After 2 played minutes Ashby got a freekick which was hit by Jerrard Durbin. 6 minutes into the game, Singleton's Jordon Lander nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benjy Diefenbach made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Jordon Lander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Jordon Lander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjy Diefenbach was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Ronald Dorrell made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Christian Magnay sent off a good shot on target. In the 16th match minute, Singleton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno James to maneuver through the defense. If Bjorn Zalunardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jordon Lander in the 22nd minute of play forced Ashby's goalkeeper Benjy Diefenbach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjy Diefenbach made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jordon Lander in the 23rd minute of play. After 28 played minutes Ashby got a freekick which was hit by Matthews Groves. If Brandon Gaines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bjorn Zalunardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Benjy Diefenbach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Bjorn Zalunardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ashby's goalkeeper Benjy Diefenbach, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Ashby players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Singleton were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bjorn Zalunardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Jordon Lander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ashby's Benjy Diefenbach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bjorn Zalunardo in the 57th minute of play. Ronald Dorrell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brandon Gaines went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Ronald Dorrell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brandon Gaines in the 63rd minute of the match. Jordon Lander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Benjy Diefenbach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Davey Perrett's late challenge caught a Singleton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Davey Perrett helped the player get up and apologised. After 68 played minutes Ashby got a freekick which was hit by Davey Perrett. Ashby's Benjy Diefenbach proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Ashby from getting a goal against them. Bruno James's late challenge caught a Ashby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno James helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ashby booed when Singleton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno James didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Brandon Gaines notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Singleton's Ronald Dorrell. Ronald Dorrell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bjorn Zalunardo in the 80th minute of play forced Ashby's goalkeeper Benjy Diefenbach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jordon Lander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Benjy Diefenbach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brandon Gaines recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th of the match, Bjorn Zalunardo tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Benjy Diefenbach got in the way and made a wonderful save. When Singleton's Bjorn Zalunardo in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ashby's goalie prevented a goal. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Ashby were victorious despite being under pressure from Singleton for much of the match.
