Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Mingay's Matt Rowden started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Matt Rowden struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Bruno Arkinstall didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mingay. Meyer Cave received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Bruno Arkinstall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno Arkinstall made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Meyer Cave sent off a good shot on target. Charlton's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Charlton's Bruno Arkinstall proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Charlton from getting a goal against them. Pierre Markou kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Charlton:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mingay:s goal. The referee gave Mingay a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Max Hunter, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Charlton's Bruno Arkinstall. 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ren Atterton made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Mingay's Jervis Sennett got a free kick in the 56th minute. Ren Atterton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Mingay's goalkeeper Phil Gavin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dani Fenwick. The supporters of Charlton booed when Mingay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jervis Sennett didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 62 played minutes, Charlton's Lorimer Norman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Phil Gavin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Charlton reached it. Matt Rowden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Arkinstall having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Alan Bowman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Mingay's Phil Gavin got control of the ball when Edgar Ceney tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79thth minute of the game Meyer Cave who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Charlton's Bruno Arkinstall was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Ren Atterton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Ceney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
