Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Edward Zalunardo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonty Lorenz in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benny Brennan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Earl Carr's late challenge caught a Barberton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Earl Carr helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Moutajup getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Earl Carr hit a great ball. Andrews Hart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edward Zalunardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 19 minutes into the match, Ivan Oconnell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benny Brennan. Moutajup's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivan Oconnell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The audience was convinced that Best Fieldhouse's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrews Hart was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Ivan Oconnell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barberton's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Oconnell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benny Brennan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andrews Hart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Billy Tearle in the 36th minute of the match. 37 minutes in the game, Edward Zalunardo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Benny Brennan having to interfere. After 42 played minutes Moutajup got a freekick which was hit by Loyd Oneill. Charles Glover struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Andrews Hart didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moutajup. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Billy Tearle made a kick off. Ivan Oconnell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Moutajup's zone, Edward Zalunardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benny Brennan came out of the goal and Edward Zalunardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Moutajup's Jeffers Potter got a free kick in the 61st minute. Ivan Oconnell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moutajup's Benny Brennan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Zalunardo in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Moutajup's zone, Edward Zalunardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benny Brennan came out of the goal and Edward Zalunardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute, Billy Tearle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andrews Hart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Billy Tearle in the 78th minute of play. A collision led to Moutajup getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Best Fieldhouse hit a great ball. The attack was good, but when Ivan Oconnell in the 80th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 82 minutes into the game, Barberton's Edward Zalunardo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benny Brennan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 85 minutes into the match, Barberton's goalkeeper Andrews Hart had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Charles Glover. Charles Glover fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrews Hart having to interfere. After 92 minutes, Best Fieldhouse mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Moutajup and the Barberton players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edward Zalunardo struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Benny Brennan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barberton. Barberton's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
