Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Steve Hitchen kicked off to start the match. Thomas Huther took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steve Hitchen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 5 minutes into the match, Hopevale's Steve Hitchen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thomas Huther narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Steve Hitchen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steve Hitchen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Huther having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Brendon Groves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hopevale's goalkeeper Isaac Hopkins, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gooloongolok's Thomas Huther played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steve Hitchen in the 19th minute of play. Isaac Hopkins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brendon Groves in the 27th minute. Brook Beattie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Hopkins having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hopevale's Tiger Vickery got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute Brook Beattie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Hopkins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 played minutes Hopevale got a freekick which was hit by Damon Sanderson. 43 minutes into the match, Gooloongolok's goal looked a bit too open when Boyde Delbridge came free, but Thomas Huther reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

1-0 became the score in the 58th minute when Brook Beattie elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Brendon Groves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Isaac Hopkins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gooloongolok's Brendon Groves got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Brendon Groves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Boyde Delbridge fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Hopevale booed when Gooloongolok was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Connor Mcmanamny didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hopevale's Isaac Hopkins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brook Beattie in the 73rd minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Barth Merz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute, Best Wal made a precise shot to the right of Isaac Hopkins. Hopevale's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Hopevale's Boyde Delbridge got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 82 minutes into the match, Brook Beattie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isaac Hopkins. Hopevale's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brook Beattie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Gooloongolok's zone, Boyde Delbridge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomas Huther came out of the goal and Boyde Delbridge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th match minute, Gooloongolok was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bryant Fulton to maneuver through the defense.
