Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Birrell Jeavons made the kick off and thus started the match. Boyce Boneheyo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee gave Spuds United a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Barnabas Quinane, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Williamsdale's Bill Deal. 0-1. Boyce Boneheyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bill Deal having to interfere. Williamsdale's Bill Deal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boyce Boneheyo in the 23rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eddy Claringbold in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bill Deal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Potter Sugden hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boyce Boneheyo in the 43rd minute of play forced Williamsdale's goalkeeper Bill Deal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 43 played minutes Williamsdale got a freekick which was hit by Carlisle Dobbing. Spuds United's Duffield Terris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birrell Jeavons in the 49th minute of play.

After 54 minutes, Arnold Clarke mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Williamsdale and the Spuds United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th minute, Arnold Clarke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Spuds United's Boyce Boneheyo got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Birrell Jeavons received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Duffield Terris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Birrell Jeavons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eddy Claringbold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bill Deal having to interfere. Dallas Pearse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duffield Terris having to interfere. The supporters of Williamsdale booed when Spuds United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barnabas Quinane didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 78 minutes, Dallas Pearse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Williamsdale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dallas Pearse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Duffield Terris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dallas Pearse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Potter Sugden kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Herbert Auger, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Duffield Terris stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Birrell Jeavons's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Duffield Terris didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Birrell Jeavons went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 90 minutes into the game, Angelo Pinkerton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Williamsdale's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Spuds United the free kick. After 90 played minutes Williamsdale got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Pinkerton.
