Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Edgar Mcenally took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Mcenally in the 7th minute of play forced Newstead's goalkeeper Norm Whitsitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Zackery Dollymore left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monkeyjacket fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 16th minute of the match, David Rear tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Iggi Stevens saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. David Rear struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Iggi Stevens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newstead. Iggi Stevens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Rear in the 20th minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Bent Moon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monkeyjacket's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Newstead the free kick. After a rather tough play, Monkeyjacket's Bent Moon got a free kick in the 27th minute. Ringo Pearse lost his temper 34 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Monkeyjacket:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Newstead:s goal. Dante Kerville hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Pierre Lewry might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iggi Stevens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pierre Lewry ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 45th minute of the match, Pierre Lewry got a very nice opportunity to score, but Iggi Stevens was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Zackery Dollymore took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Norm Whitsitt. Norm Whitsitt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.

Iggi Stevens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre Lewry in the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Brown Magnay sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Monkeyjacket's Iggi Stevens didn't even have to move. David Rear sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pierre Lewry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Iggi Stevens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Rear in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iggi Stevens saved Monkeyjacket from getting behind. With a little luck, Newstead's Norm Whitsitt got control of the ball when Zackery Dollymore tried to sneak it across the goal line. When David Rear came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Newstead fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Rear couldn't finish the play. Iggi Stevens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre Lewry in the 74th minute of play. David Rear sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stew Lovis kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Monkeyjacket's Alberto Bromfield couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Newstead. In the 83rd minute Pierre Lewry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iggi Stevens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 86 minutes of play, Newstead's Pierre Lewry made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iggi Stevens was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that David Rear's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iggi Stevens was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. A collision led to Monkeyjacket getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Zackery Dollymore hit a great ball. Iggi Stevens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Rear, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Iggi Stevens came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by Newstead's Pierre Lewry. But to his dismay, Pierre Lewry quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Newstead had won after a very even match.
