Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Andres Mogork took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Andres Mogork had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Preston Vickery showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Rear in the 10th minute of the match. Norm Whitsitt came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Cathundral's Andres Mogork. But to his dismay, Andres Mogork quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Rear in the 16th minute of play forced Cathundral's goalkeeper Preston Vickery to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 minutes, Brook Serena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cathundral and the Newstead players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Cathundral was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brook Serena to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Pierre Lewry got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 22 minutes of play, Newstead's Stew Lovis made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Preston Vickery was left in no man's land by his defense there! 24 minutes into the match, Cathundral's goal looked a bit too open when Dalwood Aylwin came free, but Preston Vickery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalwood Aylwin in the 28th minute of play forced Cathundral's goalkeeper Preston Vickery to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Andres Mogork had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 34 minutes into the match, Cathundral's goal looked a bit too open when Pierre Lewry came free, but Preston Vickery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Newstead's David Rear nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Preston Vickery made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Andres Mogork sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rolando Erwin might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Norm Whitsitt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rolando Erwin ran back to his position shaking his head. The Cathundral players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Newstead were winning 1-2.

When Andres Mogork, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 52 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Norm Whitsitt was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Rolando Erwin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute David Rear shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Preston Vickery saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cathundral's Preston Vickery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalwood Aylwin in the 65th minute of play. If Andres Mogork had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norm Whitsitt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andres Mogork's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Preston Vickery successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cathundral's Preston Vickery proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Cathundral from getting a goal against them. 94 minutes into the game, Stew Lovis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Preston Vickery. Stew Lovis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Newstead had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
